OUR STORY

Agriculture and the rural world are a fundamental part of the cultural and territorial identity of our country. The history of the territory and the economy of Brescia has always been characterized by a strong agricultural vocation. The province of Brescia is in fact the first in Lombardy for the number of agricultural enterprises, and its economy is growing at a sustained pace in many sectors of the agricultural sector, as well as seeing confirmed the importance of traditional sectors such as wine, livestock and dairydairy. The important socio-economic role of agriculture was accompanied by the natural development of an important tradition of agronomic studies. It is from these historical, economic and social presuppositions that the cultural and scientific proposal of the University of Brescia in the field of agricultural sciences is born and takes shape.
